This job is responsible for preparing Ambulances and Rescue auto bodies for painting process by sanding, buffing and/or washing vehicles.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Sand and buff auto bodies, using hand held tools in a continual repetitive motion, to prepare for painting
• Wash auto body in preparation for painting
• Ability to move quickly between tasks required to prepare vehicle for painting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience in minor body work paint prep and reassembly
• Basic computer literacy is preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Hand tools
• Moderate to heavy dust conditions
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (dusk mask and/or respirator apparatus)
• Being able to push/pull over 50lbs
• Lift over 15lbs
